HOAX

Based on the information at hand, the virus seems real enough and dangerous. President Trump says it is a hoax. As such, there are rules of reasonable intelligence and logic that would require the following:

The President should not allow himself to be tested since that would contradict his statements.

The President should not allow masks in the White House and not allow testing on anyone working or visiting the White House as that would contradict his statements.

The President should go into the general crowd at his rallies and shake hands with his supporters. That would be a confirmation of his statements. It would bring rapport and support with those who share his views. It is also a tradition for candidates seeking election. Many have done that in far less secure environments.

There are those who agree with the President. They don’t wear masks, don’t distance and assumingly don’t get tested. Unlike the President, they should be respected for conforming their views with their practices. However, it would be horrible if they were wrong and exposed innocent others to a virus that seems to continue to be very real and very dangerous. Also, if those who think it is a hoax should become infected, they should remain at home and not burden the health system and complicate the care of those who did not think it was a hoax.

The unnecessary loss of any human life is always a terrible tragedy. That loss suffered by those who were close to that life magnifies the tragedy. With each death there is also an economic cost. A hoax that turns out to not be a hoax, but a reality, compounds both the human and economic disaster.

You must adjust your investments according to the information from the President or from a different point of view.
